| Tertian Harmony refers to harmony where a Third is privileged as the major component of chords. 4:5:6:7 is the most standard Tertian chord, oweing to its placement from 4 to 8 in the Harmonic Serial. Generally, inversions gained from octave displacement are considered equivalent (only with different focused upon notes,) such that 4:5:6:7, 5:6:7:8, 6:7:8:10, and 7:8:10:12 are all the same chord. | | #redirect [[Glossary#Tertian]] |
