I deem preserving the mappings of 5, 7/3, and 11/3 from 40edo to be of more import in 40edo and supersets than patency however, and so if we're treating 40edo as dual-3 then we must treat it as dual-7 and dual-11 as well (i.e. as a subset of 80edo). I see this as an argument against the dual-3 mapping, however, and for simply including 7/3 and 11/3 in the subgroup, or alternatively for sticking to the patent val.
